Consent Form

Consent Forms need to be released to all actors that will participate in the film. These forms are important because they determine whether or not the participant has agreed to be filmed or not. If they do not wish to sign the form then we cannot film them.

Particularly because some of the actors are under 18 the forms need to have parental consent, if the actor still wishes participate but there is no parental consent unfortunately they still cannot be filmed.

This is a very confidential and important process of pre-production.

Risk Assessment Research

To make sure we had an understanding of a risk assessment we decided to do some research on it. Risk assessments are evaluating the potential risks that may be involved in a projected activity or undertaking, this means that every risk that is at stake needs to be evaluated carefully and needs its management method. This is a long process as there could be many risks and even more when filming so it always needs to be amended as the process continues, this is so important as we need to protect the crew and cast- it is also an occupational management plan.

Location Profiles

Currently for our opening sequence there are two locations, so there are two different location profiles. They are very short and sweet, they show important information such as the locations opening hours, the nearest hospital etc…

This information is important because if something was to happen or go wrong we would need to know how to get to the nearest place of safety or contact the owner. It is also important to know that there are also transport methods to get to the location otherwise the crew and cast will not be able to attend. We were very fortunate that our locations had no fees which means our final costs will be very low. It was hard to find the exact locations we were looking for and whether we were able to film there, so for the time being we have set locations but they may need to be amended if the location needs to be changed.

Character Breakdown

The character breakdowns allows you to get a better understanding of the characters in a film, particularly because the history of each character is not deeply explained.  We had to amend the character breakdowns a couple of times to make them sound realistic, this was especially because the actors we are using will be young so to make them look like someone who is 20+ will be difficult. Overall this was quite an in  depth process due to coming up with the ideas of their history and making them sound realistic in correspondence to the film.

A lot of time and effort was put into the character breakdowns; only of the main characters in the opening sequence are included as we have not gone into further detail of the film. I the film had to continue further then we would add to it but for now there are only 2 important characters, we also may need to amend our character breakdowns if we can not get the ideological actor to play the role.
