Equipment-

Above is the list of all our needed equipment we required at this moment in time for our opening sequence. This will have to be amended at a later date if their are other props in the camera shot or if we come up with new ideas. This was quite a hard list to do create because I’m not entirely sure what exactly will be in the shots as well as the costumes. With the costumes there may be amendments most likely due to weather or availability. The list will most likely be an on going processes until filming is over, this way the list will be as accurate as possible.

Film Titles

Though on the script the name of our film is on there, however, it took a lot of time and ideas to come up with the names films. We sat down as a group and discussed the possible names of the film, we wanted to have a title that is meaningful to the film however does not give too much away.

We imputed individual ideas and I put them onto a word document as a mind map, this way we could talk about the strengths and weaknesses of each point.

As a whole we came to the conclusion of  “The Forage”. This was the best option for us; we came to this conclusion by singling out what was good or bad with each idea and whether or not the name fitted with our criteria. Our criteria was a title that was eye catching and rather in deep correspondence to the film, however, did not give away too much.

This on a whole was quite an easy decision to come to.

Original Script

Here is the original script I created, this was without any guidelines or understanding of format. It holds many mistakes such as Italic font and camera movements, this is not needed in a script and usually a film has its own camera script. The way the character and its dialogue was formatted was also incorrect.

We also realised we had to change elements of the script to make it sound more realistic or if we had missed important stage directions.

Overall I found creating the script was quite a difficult and long process, but eventually got somewhere in the end, however, not to a professional standard. Though i have learnt from my mistakes.

After much consoling we decided to go with the script that was rewritten from the original because after understanding how a script should be written the rewritten one was done at a professional one.

The images below are off the original script.

Script Understanding

Script Understanding

While completing my work I decided to do some extra work on script writing. To do this I went onto SimplyScripts.com and choose a film to look at its script. I chose Despicable Me 2. I looked at the layout of the script and how everything is set so I individually could get a better understanding on how to create a script. I chose Despicable Me 2 because it is a well known successful film so I know that their script would have been formatted in a professional way.

After viewing this I decided to recreate our current script. I done this so I personally had an understanding of how a script was created but also to make sure our script was in the correct layout.

I feel that looking at another script really helped me set the our own in the correct layout and gave much inspiration, you will find this script in the link below.
